The LEGO Batman Movie

Will Arnett's scene-stealing LEGO Batman gets the spotlight in a fast, self-aware DC adventure that pits Gotham's most stubborn loner against the Joker and his own resistance to becoming part of a family. Director Chris McKay fills the movie with rapid-fire comedy, deep-cut Batman references, and a surprisingly sincere story about teamwork and connection. It works both as a celebration of Batman history and as one of the most distinctive animated takes on the character.
