Training Day

Over the course of a single volatile day in Los Angeles, rookie narcotics officer Jake Hoyt is pulled into the orbit of decorated detective Alonzo Harris, whose methods blur the line between policing and criminality. Antoine Fuqua's tense crime drama turns a ride-along into a moral pressure cooker, driven by Denzel Washington's commanding performance and Ethan Hawke's increasingly cornered idealism. More than two decades later, Training Day remains a defining modern cop thriller and one of Washington's signature roles.
