Brian Duffield (No One Will Save You) adapts Daniel Kraus's propulsive novel for 20th Century Studios with a premise high-concept enough to sell itself: a diver searching for his father's remains is swallowed whole by an 80-foot sperm whale and has roughly one hour of oxygen to find a way out. Austin Abrams leads, with Josh Brolin as his father. A survival thriller, a grief story, and a father-son drama compressed into one breathless hour.
