The Runner
September 2, 2026 on Prime Video
A lean ticking-clock thriller that sends Gal Gadot's London lawyer on a desperate run across the city under the commands of an unseen caller. Directed by Oscar winner Kevin Macdonald, it keeps the premise tight and the pace quick, with Damian Lewis supplying the menacing voice on the other end of the line. A compact, star-driven race against time for members who want a brisk, single-sitting thriller.

THE VERDICT
Synthesized from published reviews
Reviews were overwhelmingly negative. Critics found the premise derivative of phone-command thrillers and faulted the aggressive visual style, thin suspense, and wobbly dialogue and logic. Even the more favorable takes pointed mainly to the brisk pacing, Gal Gadot's physical commitment, and the tight sub-90-minute runtime rather than the story itself.
