The Great Wall

Two European mercenaries, William and Tovar, wander into China searching for black powder and find something they did not expect: the Great Wall is not just a barrier against invaders, but a fortress manned by a secret army preparing for an ancient, monstrous threat that rises every sixty years. As a wave of creatures called the Taotie surges toward the wall, the mercenaries must choose between escape and standing alongside a discipline and purpose they have never known. Directed by Zhang Yimou with his signature visual spectacle, The Great Wall blends wuxia fantasy with blockbuster action, pairing Matt Damon and Pedro Pascal as rogues forced to find something worth fighting for.
