THE VERDICT

Synthesized from published reviews

Steve Carell and Anne Hathaway bring genuine charm to this slick big-screen update of Mel Brooks' beloved sitcom classic. The film balances sharp verbal banter with blockbuster action set pieces, even if it occasionally leans too heavily on modern spectacle. It stands as a surprisingly affectionate and funny revival of a television legend.
