THE VERDICT

Synthesized from published reviews

Famous for Stan Winston's impressive practical morphing effects, Manimal endures as one of the most delightfully bizarre high-concept misfires in network history. Its audacious premise of a crime-fighting professor who transforms into various beasts yields genuine cheesy thrills despite lasting only eight episodes. It remains a prized piece of cult television trivia for creature-feature enthusiasts.
