THE VERDICT

Synthesized from published reviews

Hawk the Slayer is low-budget British fantasy at its most unapologetically earnest, famous for its synth-pop score and rapid-fire repeating crossbow action. Jack Palance steals every scene with a deliciously over-the-top villainous turn that elevates the pulpy material. It is a charming cult classic that punches far above its financial weight.
