THE VERDICT

Synthesized from published reviews

Directed by Ruggero Deodato and starring musclebound twins Peter and David Paul, The Barbarians embraces sword-and-sorcery camp with uninhibited gusto. What it lacks in cinematic subtlety it makes up for with sheer bravado, colorful violence, and unintentional comedy. It is a wildly entertaining guilty pleasure for aficionados of 1980s fantasy schlock.
