INVINCIBLE
March 25, 2021 on Prime Video
INVINCIBLE is Prime Video's adult animated series based on Robert Kirkman's comic, following teenager Mark Grayson as he inherits superpowers from his father, Omni-Man, the most powerful hero on the planet. The show starts as a coming-of-age cape story and builds into something far darker and more ambitious, pairing brutal action with real emotional stakes. In Sci-Fi Worlds it stands as the modern benchmark for adult animation, proof that superhero television can take risks its film counterparts rarely touch.

THE VERDICT
Synthesized from published reviews
Invincible subverts classic superhero tropes with visceral violence, intricate world-building, and profound emotional stakes. Steven Yeun and JK Simmons lead an extraordinary voice cast that grounds the cosmic carnage in genuinely compelling character relationships. It stands as one of the finest and most unapologetic animated sagas on television.
