Star City
May 28, 2026 on Apple TV
Star City takes the For All Mankind universe behind the Iron Curtain, retelling the space race from the Soviet side — the cosmonauts, engineers, and intelligence officers risking everything to reach the Moon first. Built by the same creative team as its parent series, it trades NASA's familiar arc for Cold War paranoia and the inner workings of the Soviet space program. In Sci-Fi Worlds it deepens one of television's most distinctive alt-history franchises by showing the same race from the other side.

THE VERDICT
Synthesized from published reviews
Expanding the rich alternate history of For All Mankind, Star City flips the lens to give a gripping, tense portrayal of the Soviet space program. The series excels at depicting the immense human cost, political paranoia, and engineering brilliance behind the Iron Curtain. It is a sophisticated historical thriller that enriches its parent franchise immeasurably.
