THE VERDICT

Synthesized from published reviews

Despite a fun nostalgic concept featuring giant pixelated arcade icons invading Earth, Pixels is weighed down by lazy comedy routines and formulaic character arcs. Peter Dinklage provides brief sparks of comedic energy, but the visual gimmicks quickly lose their charm. It ends up a disappointing misfire that fails to capitalize on its retro gaming potential.
