The Amateur

The Amateur casts Rami Malek against type as Heller, a brilliant but introverted CIA decoder who takes matters into his own hands after his wife is killed in a London terrorist attack and his supervisors refuse to act. The film's hook is exactly that mismatch — a methodical, cerebral analyst pushed into the field rather than a conventional action hero, working the problem the way an analyst would. In Action Legends it's the quiet outlier: procedural, patient, and carried by Malek's precision.
