Uncharted

Uncharted is the 2022 film adaptation of Naughty Dog's blockbuster game series, starring Tom Holland as a young, street-smart Nathan Drake and Mark Wahlberg as Victor 'Sully' Sullivan on the trail of the greatest treasure never found. It works as an origin story — the pair's first adventure together rather than a retelling of any single game — built on globetrotting set pieces and old-map intrigue. In Adventure Classics it's the big-screen homecoming for gaming's most Indiana Jones-shaped franchise, with Holland's plucky charm doing the heavy lifting.

THE VERDICT
Synthesized from published reviews
Tom Holland brings signature agility to Nathan Drake in a globe-trotting adventure designed for broad blockbuster appeal. While it strips away much of the video game franchise's interactive depth, the extravagant set-pieces offer brisk escapist fun. It is a solid action vehicle for casual pop-culture audiences.
