Playdate

Playdate is Luke Greenfield's suburban action-comedy: when out-of-work accountant Brian joins laid-back stay-at-home dad Jeff for a playdate with their sons, the afternoon derails into a chase by armed mercenaries, and Brian — totally unprepared — must survive one absurd obstacle after another. Kevin James and Alan Ritchson make the odd couple work, mild-mannered panic bouncing off stoic capability. In Comedy Legends it's the pure-escapism entry: a dad-movie premise detonated into an action chase.
