THE VERDICT
Synthesized from published reviews
Serving as the theatrical launching pad for the iconic television series, this feature film introduces Ahsoka Tano alongside familiar prequel heroes. Though visually rougher than the acclaimed show it spawned, it remains an essential piece of Star Wars lore that fundamentally reshaped the franchise. Its energetic action and core character dynamics make it a worthwhile watch for completists.
PLACE IN THE UNIVERSE
Where this fits in the larger story
Set immediately after Episode II, the 2008 theatrical film introduces Ahsoka Tano and launches the animated Clone Wars era. It bridges Attack of the Clones directly to the Clone Wars television series and is the official canonical starting point for that conflict.
