THE VERDICT

Synthesized from published reviews

Patton Oswalt turns in a hauntingly grounded performance as an obsessive New York Giants superfan whose devotion survives even a brutal assault by his favorite player. Writer-director Robert Siegel crafts a razor-sharp character study that exposes the dark, parasocial underbelly of modern sports fandom. It is a brilliant, uncomfortably funny tragedy for anyone who has ever cared too much about a team.
