THE VERDICT

Synthesized from published reviews

A twelve-year-old Elizabeth Taylor shines alongside Mickey Rooney in this beloved Technicolor classic about a young girl training a horse for the Grand National. The film captures a timeless, nostalgic magic without surrendering to cheap sentimentality. It remains a golden-age family masterpiece that established Taylor as a screen icon.
