THE VERDICT

Synthesized from published reviews

Robert Redford's golf fable attempts to blend Southern gothic atmosphere with mystical sports philosophy, starring Matt Damon and Will Smith. While visually lush, its reliance on magical tropes and melodramatic platitudes undermines its emotional payoff. It is a handsome but ultimately soft-focused curiosity for golf enthusiasts.
