THE VERDICT

Synthesized from published reviews

Tony Scott and Shane Black deliver an unapologetically nihilistic 1991 action thriller pairing Bruce Willis's washed-up detective with Damon Wayans's disgraced quarterback. Laced with lethal one-liners, explosive violence, and corrupt sports gambling conspiracy, it embodies the peak of hard-R 1990s action filmmaking. It is a dark, wildly entertaining action staple.
