THE VERDICT

Synthesized from published reviews

Clint Eastwood and Amy Adams generate sturdy father-daughter chemistry in this traditional drama about an aging scout resisting the sabermetric revolution. Director Robert Lorenz delivers a comfortable, old-school film that prioritizes human instinct and veteran experience over statistical algorithms. While predictable in its beats, the central performances make it a pleasant watch for baseball purists.
