THE VERDICT

Synthesized from published reviews

Ron Shelton pairs Kevin Costner's natural charm with Rene Russo's sharp wit in this wonderfully breezy romantic sports comedy. Costner shines as a stubborn driving-range pro whose refusal to lay up turns golf into a hilarious battle of ego and redemption. It is a witty, relaxed character study that captures the soul of the game.
