THE VERDICT

Synthesized from published reviews

The fourth installment relies heavily on family nostalgia and cozy character chemistry, enlivened by Jet Li's dazzling American debut as a formidable villain. Mel Gibson and Danny Glover show their age, but Chris Rock and Joe Pesci add comedic sparkle to the chaotic proceedings. It offers a warm, explosive farewell to one of cinema's most beloved buddy-cop partnerships.
