THE VERDICT

Synthesized from published reviews

Moving the action to a fictional California theme park, John Landis directs a lackluster third outing that lacks the wit and sharp edge of its predecessors. Eddie Murphy feels subdued in a script that relies on gimmickry rather than clever street-smart comedy. It stands as the weakest chapter in Axel Foley's long-running police career.
