THE VERDICT

Synthesized from published reviews

Eddie Murphy slides back into his signature jacket with ease in a nostalgia-heavy legacy sequel that captures the original film's comic rhythm and eighties soundtrack flare. Joined by Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Taylour Paige, Murphy proves his comedic timing remains as sharp as ever. It is a fun, crowd-pleasing return to form for one of cinema's greatest comedic detectives.
