THE VERDICT

Synthesized from published reviews

Fred Ward stars as a reluctant government assassin trained in ancient martial arts in a high-concept actioner that aimed to launch a major franchise. While Joel Grey's controversial casting has aged poorly, the film features inventive set pieces, including a memorable chase on the Statue of Liberty. It remains an entertaining, quirky eighties cult artifact worth discovering.
