THE VERDICT

Synthesized from published reviews

The Coen brothers showcase their frenetic visual genius in a hilarious slapstick fable about an ex-con and an ex-cop who kidnap a baby. Nicolas Cage and Holly Hunter deliver brilliant comedic performances amid cartoonish chases and colorful Southern dialogue. It is an endlessly quotable comedy classic that glows with inventive energy.
