THE VERDICT

Synthesized from published reviews

Harold Ramis directs Chevy Chase in the quintessential road-trip comedy, tracking the disaster-prone Griswold family on their epic trek across America to Walley World. Written by John Hughes, the film hits a sweet spot between satirical bite and broad slapstick humor. It defined eighties comedy and launched an enduring film franchise.
