THE VERDICT

Synthesized from published reviews

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse expanded the visual language of superhero animation and gave Miles Morales a screen debut with real emotional force. Its multiverse premise works because it is tied to identity, legacy, and the fear of not being ready for the life being handed to you. The film is inventive without becoming empty spectacle, and its influence on animation and comic-book filmmaking is already clear. A defining Spider-Man story for a new generation.
