THE VERDICT
Synthesized from published reviews
The direct sequel to Casino Royale and the shortest film in the franchise, neither of which helps it. Made under visible production constraints, it often feels less like a full new chapter than a compressed bridge from the film it follows. The action sequences are competent and relentless; the emotional throughline from the previous film is present but thinly developed. Honest about its limitations but unable to transcend them.
