THE VERDICT
Synthesized from published reviews
A slick and efficient Bond film that uses a media mogul villain with a prescience the film didn't fully intend. Jonathan Pryce's Elliot Carver is well-conceived if slightly cartoonish, and the Hamburg sequences are among the Brosnan era's best. Michelle Yeoh's Wai Lin is one of the most capable Bond partners in the franchise's history. A film that does everything it sets out to do and little more.
