"Just a thought -- why don't you give me a hand?"

DID YOU KNOW?

Barbara Bach's Major Anya Amasova was the first Bond girl who was genuinely an equal to Bond in intelligence and skill.

THE VERDICT

Synthesized from published reviews

The Moore era at its most polished and confident. The Lotus Esprit submarine car, the ski jump pre-title sequence, and Carly Simon's Nobody Does It Better give the film an archetypal Bond quality that places it among the series' most purely pleasurable entries. Jaws is the franchise's most beloved recurring henchman. A film that assembled every element of the formula and executed each one at its peak.
