Battlestar Galactica: Miniseries (2003)

Forty years after the original armistice, the Cylons return without warning and destroy the Twelve Colonies in a nuclear attack, leaving a single battlestar -- Galactica -- to escort the remnants of humanity toward a mythical refuge called Earth. The 2003 miniseries reimagined the classic premise with a darker tone and became the foundation for the reimagined television series.
