THE VERDICT
Synthesized from published reviews
A sequel that pivots toward the lighter, more comedic tone associated with the original animated series, which suits the material better than its predecessor's relative grimness. Bebop and Rocksteady are well-cast and used effectively, and the film is more comfortable in its own skin. Krang's appearance is brief and less satisfying than expected. A film that found the franchise's natural register too late in the production cycle to fully capitalize on it.
