THE VERDICT
Synthesized from published reviews
A sequel fourteen years in the making that arrives with the same visual confidence as the original but without its structural urgency. The role reversal -- Elastigirl as the active hero, Bob as the overwhelmed stay-at-home parent -- is a genuine and well-executed premise. The Screenslaver is a more conceptually interesting villain than the film's execution delivers. A worthy continuation that demonstrates the Parr family dynamic is durable even when the plot around it is uneven.
