THE VERDICT
Synthesized from published reviews
A sequel that leans into the franchise mythology more heavily than Creed did, which is both its appeal and its limitation. The Drago connection is handled with more weight than the concept deserved, and Florian Munteanu's Viktor Drago is more sympathetic than expected. Jordan and Stallone continue to be the series' most compelling dynamic. It lacks the freshness of Creed but delivers the emotional beats the franchise has always promised, and it delivers them well.
