"You can't outrun the past, Donnie."
DID YOU KNOW?
Jonathan Majors based Damian's fighting style on real martial arts philosophy about striking with psychological intent.
THE VERDICT
Synthesized from published reviews
The first entry in the franchise not to feature Rocky Balboa, and the first directed by its star. Michael B. Jordan's debut behind the camera is assured, and the decision to set the conflict in Adonis's past rather than his present gives the film a psychological texture previous entries lacked. Damian Anderson is the most complex antagonist the Creed trilogy has produced. A film that found its own identity rather than borrowing one.
