Kevin Hart portrayed Danny Glover's Milo for much of the film -- Glover and Hart met regularly to develop the character together.
THE VERDICT
Synthesized from published reviews
A sequel that fiddles with the avatar-swap mechanic from Welcome to the Jungle by introducing the older generation into the game, which gives Danny DeVito and Danny Glover something to do and gives Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart new registers to play. The results are inconsistent but the cast commitment is genuine, and the desert and mountain settings are a visual upgrade from the jungle. A sequel that finds a workable variation, even if it never feels as fresh or necessary as the first reboot entry.
