THE VERDICT
Synthesized from published reviews
The best of the sequels, and perhaps the only one that earns its place alongside the original. Casting Sean Connery as Henry Jones Sr. was a stroke of genius -- the father-son dynamic gives the film an emotional core that the others lack, and the interplay between Ford and Connery is effortless. The Holy Grail mythology is handled with appropriate reverence, and the final act delivers on every level. Funny, thrilling, and unexpectedly moving.
