March 3, 2022 on Paramount+
Picard and his crew are hurled into a fractured alternative timeline where the Federation never existed, and must repair the past before returning home — with Q orchestrating everything from a place of unexpected vulnerability. Season 2 leans into time travel, identity, and Q’s final goodbye.

Where this fits in the larger story
Star Trek: Picard — Season 2 sits after The Next Generation films, following Jean-Luc Picard through the Federation's later consequences. It connects this crew's seasonal arc with the larger Star Trek themes of exploration, diplomacy, identity, and responsibility. Its placement helps viewers follow how this series develops its corner of Federation history without treating the season as a standalone event.
