Where this fits in the larger story
Star Trek: Lower Decks — Season 2 sits in the post-Next Generation era, viewing Starfleet through the lower-ranking crew of the Cerritos. It connects this crew's seasonal arc with the larger Star Trek themes of exploration, diplomacy, identity, and responsibility. Its placement helps viewers follow how this series develops its corner of Federation history without treating the season as a standalone event.
