THE VERDICT
Synthesized from published reviews
The second Avengers film is more ambitious than the first and less successful because of it — Ultron is a compelling concept that the film never quite grounds, and the plot mechanics of Vision's creation strain credibility even by franchise standards. The Hawkeye farm sequence is the film's best twenty minutes, a genuine character beat in the middle of spectacle. The final Sokovia action climax is the franchise's first sign that scale alone doesn't equal stakes. Worth watching for what it attempts; worth criticizing for what it doesn't deliver.

This was an OK movie. I think they waisted one of the greatest villains in the MCU in one movie.
