Wonder Man
January 27, 2026 on Disney+
Simon Williams -- a struggling actor and former villain who once fought the Avengers -- navigates Hollywood alongside his therapist and reluctant collaborator Trevor Slattery. The Disney+ series explores what it means to be a D-list celebrity in a world full of A-list superheroes, operating on the fringes of the MCU's larger story.

THE VERDICT
Synthesized from published reviews
Wonder Man is Marvel's most unusual Disney+ series — a meta comedy about the entertainment industry that uses Simon Williams's career as an actor-turned-superhero to examine the gap between performance and identity. Ben Kingsley's return as Trevor Slattery is a running delight, and the show earns its stranger tangents more often than not. The satirical targets are occasionally too easy, and the series works better as a character study than a plot-driven narrative. It is not for every Marvel viewer, but it is genuinely funny and more interested in its own ideas than most of the platform's output.
PLACE IN THE UNIVERSE
Where this fits in the larger story
Wonder Man belongs to Marvel's wider screen history, outside a single clean continuity unless the record clearly connects it to the MCU. It adapts familiar Marvel characters through its own branch of superhero, fantasy, or action storytelling. Its placement helps viewers understand how this title fits the broader Marvel xVERSE while keeping separate continuities from being blended together.

Literally, one of the best MCU series made. This is the model for a great show. They built the character that we care about first. The cast was incredible. I am looking forward to Season 2.
